Jennifer was born and raised in New Jersey. Growing up her parents took her to see Broadway shows and one day she dreamt of walking out of a backstage door. In 1987, she became the first African American Radio City Music Hall Rockette. In 2001, she got her Broadway dream and performed in the Tony Award winning musical, 42nd Street.
In 1990, she owned and operated Jennifer Jones Dance and Fitness studio in Rockaway, NJ. Her studio was the first in the area to offer Step aerobics. She fell in love with Bikram yoga in 2002 when she was first introduced to it.
Jennifer is a colorectal cancer survivor. After being diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2018, she is a spokesperson and an advocate for awareness, screenings, and early detection. She is now cancer free.
